Free Active Directory Reporting Tool

ADInfo

AD Info is a free reporting tool currently in Beta. I was able to download the installer, install it, and run my first report within 1 minute:) It has a nice, easy to use user interface, and many reports including User, Computer, Group, Group Policy, Contacts. It automatically detected the domain and used the credentials I was logged in as by default to run the reports. While domain and credential configuration options are available, I was glad I didn’t have to configure anything to run my first report.

JiJi Active Directory Reports

An evaluation version of this product can be downloaded without filling in contact data. Downloading and installing this tool on my VM was quick and easy. It has a nice UI, and a large number of reports including User, Group, Computer, Exchange, OU, GPO, Printer,Security,NTFS among others. The reports can be configured by adding or removing columns as seen in the screen shot below. You can also create custom reports using your own LDAP search queries. Its just a reporting tool, though, and does not allow editing attributes. You can find locked out users, for instance, but you can’t unlock them. [UPDATE: A new feature includes an actions button in which certain actions, like unlocking, enabling, deleting users is allowed]
